New and Exciting etc.
I guess it's a little of both, but just so.
We had a blast at the Washington Brewer's festival - thanks to the folks that stopped by, and those folks that were wearing their member shirts - you rock!
The real lesson is that we want to be serving beer AND talking to people at that event. Maybe next year? Probably not, but hey who knows?
We'll be having our next beer with the board session at Elliott Bay Brewing Company in West Seattle. It won't be until July the 14th (second Thursday of the month), but it'll be a good time. They have a lot of beer on tap and they have good food too!
Speaking of, I brewed some beer for a wedding, and it went over really well. People liked the beer, I talked to some people about Flying Bike, my neighbors helped polish off one keg and we'll kill the other one later this week. Kegging - RULES. And, what's a better wedding gift than 10 gallons of beautiful beautiful beer?
I decided to try my hand at brewing a Strawberry Blonde - I can't wait to throw the 4 and a half pounds of strawberries into the beer and watch the fermentation kick up again! Probably my second favorite part of homebrewing (first being drinking it) is that anytime I get an urge to make x style of beer, I can do just that.
