Raise your glass to conservation and animals as the 10th Annual Brew at the Zoo returns this fall!
Thursday, October 5, 2023, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Join us for a beer and cider tasting event unlike any other. Sample delicious imports, domestics, microbrews, ciders, and more at Woodland Park Zoo! This year the event features over 50 of the finest local breweries. While sampling, meet some of the zoo’s most eccentric animals with up-close encounters with our ambassador animals!
All money raised supports conservation projects both locally and globally.
Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery will once again be participating. This year, the zoo is suggesting we pick a specific animal or two, as inspiration for beers we will serve, and put on tap at the brewery afterwards. Maybe something new, but along the lines of Bears, or Tigers or Hippos. Or Otters. Send your suggestions to festivals@flyingbike.coop.
Serving begins at 5:00 pm for the VIPs, but we will be setting up around 4:00. Exact details will be posted soon, as well as staffing requirements. Last year, they requested MAST, and had strict rules about drinking while serving (entire shift is off limits). You must have a current MAST permit in order to sign up for the Pour Team.
If all of the pour positions are taken, please consider being a back-up volunteer. If someone can’t make it, or if the Zoo opens up the staffing allowances, we’ll give you a call!
