Our Founding Fathers Would Be Proud
I spent this mostly cloudy President's Day away from work and making probably the best use of the day.
Come on, like you didn't see this coming! I made beer!
I whipped up a pale ale that if it tastes as good as it smells, it won't last very long! I hopped it with Centennial at 60 minutes, Cascade at 10, then more Cascade at flameout. This should be a tasty brew to help ring in the month of April. With any luck I'll be able to catch some more decent weather days and do more brewin' before then. I brew on my deck, so I don't get much done in the winter months when it's rainy and windy and cold.
Also, this weekend is the Washington Beer Open House.
It would be awesome if Flying Bike had a brewery that we could open to you, but alas we do not. If you look at the list of breweries that are open, that should help ease the pain!
Now I think I'll go put on my powder wig and wooden teeth and kill the power in my house and eat dinner with some candles burning. That's not for President's Day, that's just something I do on Mondays in February. I can't wait until March!
