Guilt and V-day Gifts

 In Blog, Uncategorized

Hey you - I've got great news to share! As you are aware, Valentine's Day is upon us once again.

I know, I know, you aren't much of a fan, and it is just a Hallmark Holiday that doesn't have any bearing on our feelings for each other, and we shouldn't buy in to the hype, and I know we agreed to just give small heartfelt gifts and make the effort to be really sweet to one another the whole week, and that other thing we talked about that I am not quite 100% behind but I'm getting there, but I went ahead and got you something big anyways.

It's not the Camaro you wanted.

It's even BETTER!

Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery will be at the Cascade Brewer's Guild's 2011 exBEERience! What is exBEERience?

"ExBEERience is a celebration of homebrewing and an appreciation of craft beers. Over 15 local craft brewers will be on hand pouring more than 30 beers. Awards will be presented for the 15th annual Cascade Cup Homebrew Competition."

It will be loads of fun! Lots of good beer, good folks, as well as your favorite local brewing co-op pouring beer and talking with fellow craft beer lovers!

The best part? Tickets are only $25 if you buy them before the event! Hard to believe, I know! Go to the exBEERience home page to order from Brown Paper Tickets.

I'm guessing from your silence you are shocked and surprised. That's not quite the reaction I was going for, but I'll work with it.

Why on earth do you need to call your mother?! We should be celebrating right now, this is a pretty big deal! There are going to be a lot of local breweries at this event! This is a big step in getting our name out there and talking to other people.

No, I didn't mean it like that, of course I don't want to see other people. I just want to share this love of homemade craft beer with everyone. I just want everyone to Own It, Craft It, and Drink It! Is that really so wrong?

If I could break out of character for just a moment folks, let me just say that craft beer won't judge you and doesn't mind if you share. In fact, I daresay that good craft beer wants to be shared. That's why a cooperative brewery makes so much sense. Let's build this thing, let's craft our beer, and let's enjoy it with everyone!

Cheers!
